Leadership Pierre Class Celebrates Graduation Following Final Session
The Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the graduation of the 2025-2026 Leadership Pierre class following their final Arts & Culture session on May 14. Participants toured several local organizations and attractions, including the Casey Tibbs Rodeo Center Museum, Pierre Players Community Theater, and the South Dakota National Guard Museum, before concluding the program with Erik Therwanger’s “Next Level Leading” session and graduation ceremony at the Ramkota Hotel & Conference Center. The Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce Government Outreach Committee, DRG Media Group and Riverfront Broadcasting are working out details regarding a candidate forum that would include the Pierre School Board, Pierre Mayor, District 24 House of Representatives, Hughes County Sheriff, and District 24 Senate candidates. More information will be released in the near future once candidates can be confirmed for ballot appearance. The deadline is March 31st, but it takes some time for the Secretary of State to post
