Author Rebecca Bender will discuss her book "Still" and sign copies of it. "Still" is a history of five generations of a Jewish family who flee Russia and come to North Dakota in 1905 and farmed. They later spend many years in Eureka and then lived in the Twin Cities. Bender tells what caused her family to come to the United States; what their lives were like with their mostly Germans from Russia neighbors, far from any large Jewish religious center, and where life's roads eventually took them. The book's title comes from a question recently posed to Bender by a newspaper reporter: Are you still Jewish? Copies of he book will be available for purchase at the event.
