Inaugural Celebration Planned: Flights Operated by SkyWest Airlines

PIERRE, SD – Following a selection process with the U.S. Department of Transportation, the City of Pierre is excited to announce the return of United Express flights, operated by SkyWest Airlines, for the next four years.

Inaugural Celebration Details
To celebrate our newest commercial air service provider, the City of Pierre invites the public to an Inaugural Celebration at Pierre Regional Airport on Thursday, August 14.

Event Schedule: •

• 3:30 p.m. – Treats and beverages from local businesses (provided by the City of Pierre)
• 3:45 p.m. – Program with remarks from Mayor Steve Harding, Commissioner Jamie Huizenga, and more
• 4:00 p.m. – Ribbon cutting led by the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce
• 4:19 p.m. – Arrival of the evening United Express flight

The public is encouraged to attend and help give the new flights a warm Pierre welcome.
