Moon Over Buffalo - Presented by Pierre Players
Looking for laughs? Moon Over Buffalo is the story of an acting couple on tour in Buffalo in 1953 with a repertory consisting of Cyrano de Bergerac and Noel Coward's Private Lives. This farce by the author of Lend Me a Tenor brought Carol Burnett back to Broadway and starred Philip bosco as her megalomaniac, often drunk husband and leading man. Fate has given the thespians one more shot at starring roles in The Scarlet Pimpernel and director Frank Capra himself is enroute to catch their performance. If comedies are your favorite, don't miss this one! It is really three plays intertwined with all the c raziness of doors slamming, people hiding in closets, half-dressed actors, people running into people, mistaken identities and mass confusion. Timing is everything...and it gets wilder throughout the show. The cast boasts some of Pierre Players finest. Veterans Jean Person and Rex Craven, well known for their comedic timing, play the lead roles of Charlotte and George. Add laugh-master, Joe Fette, a member of the troupe and fiancee to their frustrated daughter. Roz, played by Alisa DeMers and hilarity does not stop. Supporting roles are played by Katy Duenwald, Barry LeBeau, Rachel Person and Roger Hartley. The show is directed by Anne Rathburn with Eileen Lindbloom assisting and Beatta Ferris as Production Assistant and Stage Manager. Patrick Grode is Technical Director. If you have the winter doldrums and need absurdity, hilarity and a lot of good laughs, you can't miss with live theatre and Moon Over Buffalo! Sponsored in part by: Ameriprise Financial - Joel A.
