Hitchhiking across South Dakota during the Great Depression

Matthew Reitzel will share the travel journal of Earl Neller, who hitchhiked with six children across South Dakota in the summer of 1933. Reitzel is the manuscript/photo archivist for the State Archives of the South Dakota State Historical Society. Neller's journal is among the documents contained in the State Archives. The program is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
