History and Heritage Book Club

In keeping with Gov. Mike Rounds' proclamation of 2010 as the Year of Unity, members of the History and Heritage Book Club will discuss "My People the Sioux" by Luther Standing Bear. First published in 1928, Standing Bear's account of his tribe and tribesmen was among the first books about American Indians written from the American Indians' point of view. Francis Whitebird will be the guest speaker. Everyone is welcome
