Financial Aid Workshop - ''College Goal Sunday''

The fourth annual College Goal Sunday in South Dakota is set for Sunday, February 21, 2010 from 2-4pm at Capital University Center. This free workshop will help students and parents complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Completing the FAFSA is the first step to take in order to receive federal financial aid. All students are encouraged to attend and have one-on-one assistance with a financial aid counselor. Counselors from SDSU and BHSU will be present. "Participants can expect to get detailed free help in completing the online FAFSA, and financial aid information," said Jay Larsen, coordinator of College Goal Sunday. Larson is alos the director of financial aid at SDSU.
This workshop is for all current and potential students at any university in South Dakota.
Completing the FAFSA is the first step to take in order to receive federal financial aid. Participants can pre-register by calling the toll free 1-866-578-4625 or logging on to www.collegegoalsd.org pre-registration is encouraged but not required.
Attend this free workshop and you will automatically be entered into a drawing for $500 in Pierre.
