
Don Barnett Remembers the Rapid City Flood
A flash flood in Rapid City on June 9, 1972, left 238 people dead. Don Barnett was mayor of Rapid City when the flood struck. He will share his memories of the flood. His memoir, "Thorns and Roses" tells about the flood and other events during his tenure as mayor. Copies of the book are available to be checked out from Rawlins Library and Barnett will sell copies at the the program. People are welcome to share their memories of the flood at the free program. Everyone is welcome to attend the free program.
