Decorative Painters & Artists Show

For the first time ever - South Dakota's only Chapter of the Society of Decorative Painters will be meeting in Pierre. Friday, August 14: Any time after 3:00pm; a day to paint memory boxes and spend time with friends. Saturday, August 15: 9:30am BHADA Meeting, guests are welcome to attend. Meetings are very casual and usually end before noon. Then we will be painting more memory boxes. Boxes will be furnished by BHADA. Please bring your brushes and paints and be ready to have fun. Location: Oahe Downstream Group Lodge *You will need a state park sticker to enter* Please join us to find out more about the Society of Decorative Painters and the Black Hills Area Decorative Artists. We will be painting memory boxes and would love to have your help. To dat, the Black Hills Area Decorative Artists have painted over 7,400 memory boxes since January 2000. Boxes are sent to hospitals to give to families who have lost an infant or child. It is a small toekn of our concern and love and gives the family something special in which to carry home their child's memories.
