When it comes to managing conflict, many people would rather have a root canal than deal with the issue. For most, it’s uncomfortable to deal with because they don’t have the skills and necessary tools to effectively manage conflict.
If this describes you, please join us for "Conflict, What Conflict!" sponsored by the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce.
In this workshop you will:
- Define the 3 types of conflict and the situations leading up to them
- Learn when to use assertive behavior and when to use cooperative behavior
- Learn the 5 conflict handling modes and when to use them
- Answer the question: Is it all right to sometimes avoid conflict?
- Learn what to do when you positively know you are right... or wrong
- Understand your most comfortable conflict-handling mode and where you need improvement
- Learn what the leader’s role is in mediating a dispute
