Capital Area Snow Queen Festival

The Pierre Jaycees are looking for girls interested in running for 2009 Miss and Jr. Miss Capital Area Snow Queen. The 2009 Capital area snow queen festival will be held at the Kings Inn on Sunday, December 6, 2009. It is an all day event, with interviews during the day and the formal showing, questioning and crowning in the evening starting at 6pm. The reigning queens, Miss Amy Miles and Jr. Miss Katherine Van Gerpen, will help crown the new Miss Capital Area Snow Queen and Jr. Miss Capital Area Snow Queen. Both girls will go on to represent the Capital Area in the State Snow Queen Festival in Aberdeen, South Dakota, as well as represent our crowns throughout the community in 2010. Those interested can contact Jamie Freestone for an application or can pick them up from the Bank West Main office and at both Pierre and Ft. Pierre High school offices. There is a $25 application fee, however sponsorships are available if needed. Jr. Miss candidates must be a freshman in high school or ninth grader in Junior high and Miss candidates must be between the ages of 17 and 21, (As of) both by January 1, 2010.
