2025 SkyWest Inaugural Celebration & Ribbon Cutting
The City of Pierre is soaring into a new era of travel convenience with the return of United Express flights, operated by SkyWest Airlines. The community came together at Pierre Regional Airport to welcome back SkyWest to the Pierre community, marking the start of a four-year partnership. The celebration was filled with local treats, warm words from city leaders and SkyWest representatives, and a ribbon-cutting led by the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce. An incoming flight was included at the end of the celebration and was greeted by plenty of smiles from a crowd happy to see the airline back in Pierre.
New Flight Service Highlights:

Five days per week feature two daily flights

Schedule includes earlier morning departures and later evening returns to improve connectivity
- Additional flights will be added during October and November to accommodate hunting season demand
- October: 2 extra flights on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays
- November: 2 extra flights on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
