June 2021 CVB Report

June is a busy month in Pierre! We will be hosting two softball tournaments, the South Dakota High School Rodeo Finals, Oahe Days, and Trail of Governors’ Run with the Govs charity race. Along with the race, the Trail of Governors Foundation will be unveiling three Governor statues, depicting Charles H. Sheldon, Coe I. Crawford and Carl Gunderson.

Pierre will be welcoming four caravan tours traveling to the area to explore our community and learn more about Lewis & Clark. Also, this month, the Ride Across South Dakota (RASDak) annual bicycle ride will be making a stop in Pierre on June 8.

These events will be bringing many visitors to our area. Please greet them with enthusiasm and represent the great community that we live in with pride.
