Prayers for PAWS

The First United Methodist Church is partnering with PAWS Animal Rescue to have a special event: Prayers for PAWS - blessing of the Pets. Saturday, September 24 at 3 p.m. at Steamboat Park We recognize that pets hold a very special place in our lives and families. They are God’s gift that brings us joy and happiness and offer companionship and love . We ask that for the safety and comfort of all God’s creatures that your pets —cat, dog, hamster, snake, bird, lizard, fish, horse, pig, goat, etc. —be leashed, kenneled, or contained in some manner such as an animal trailer, pet carrier, cage, aquarium, etc. If your pet is unable to travel, feel free to bring an item (toy, collar, etc.) or picture of your pet for a blessing. We’ll have treats, too.
