Pierre Players Presents : Boeing Boeing
Comedy by Marc Camoletti, Translated by Beverly Cross, Revised by Francis Evans
Director Audra Cardwell
Assistant Director Joshua Penrod
Winner! 2008 Tony Award, Best Revival of a Play
It's the 1960s, and swinging bachelor Bernard couldn't be happier -- a flat in Paris and three gorgeous stewardesses all engaged to him without knowing about each other. But Bernard's perfect life gets bumpy when his friend Robert comes to stay, and a new and speedier Boeing jet throws off all of his careful planning. Soon all three stewardesses are in town simultaneously, Robert is forgetting which lies to tell to whom, and catastrophe looms.
The cast features Aaron Siebersma as Bernard, Roxanne Smith as Berthe, Zachary Smith as Robert, and Amanda Schmitgen, Molly Valentine and Kimberly Zerr as Bernard's three fiancées, Gretchen, Gabriella and Gloria.
"The play is pure fun and I can't think of anyone that wouldn't laugh at least a little"said Director, Audra Cardwell. "In fact, I challenge you to see this show and not laugh. You won't win, but I challenge you anyway."
This is Cardwell's debut as a director for Pierre Players, although she has been a central behind-the-scenes volunteer and supporter. Also, new to the Pierre Players' stage are Smith, Taylor and Valentine.
"Boeing Boeing resembles the 'boing, boing' of a ping pong ball bouncing wildly from one romantic entanglement to another." said Pierre Players Board President, Alisa DeMers. "Audra has the energy and the flair to direct the complicated staging with more precise timing than an air traffic controller."
