Operation Military Kids meeting

OMK-Operation Military Kids supports the children and youth with a parent or parents who are in the military and who have been or will be affected by deployment where they live.  These kids live in your community.  Do you know them? Would you like to reach out to them and help them understand what they are facing?  OMK Central South Dakota is at work in the counties of Hughes, Stanley, Sully, Potter, Walworth, Dewey, Ziebach, Hyde, Lyman, Jones, Buffalo, Haakon, and Brule. Our objective is to raise community awareness of issues faced by military kids; build community capacity to deliver state and local outreach services; implement outreach support services; and educate people and organizations on the effects of being part of a military family and the effects of military deployments and how they can support OMK. 
 
If you have or know a child in a military family and want to help make sure they get the help they need, or just want to see what OMK is about, please join us.  You don't need special skills or military knowledge.  You only need to care.
