Kid's Fishing Derby
Kids can join a morning of fun-filled fishing and prizes at Oahe Downstream Recreation Area near Fort Pierre on Saturday, June 18. Fishing begins at 10 a.m. and ends at noon. Immediately following fishing, prizes will be awarded for the largest, smallest and most interesting catches of the morning. Kids ages 15 and under can participate in the event. Children age eight and under must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring your own fishing poles and lures. A limited number of fishing poles will be available for use at the park. This event could be rescheduled due to weather.

Kids are encouraged to register the week prior to the event at the Welcome Center at Oahe Downstream. Registration will close at 9:50 a.m. on June 18.
