History and Heritage Book Club

South Dakota Secretary of Tribal Relations Leroy "J.R." LaPlante will be the guest speaker at the July meeting of the History and Heritage Book Club, telling about growing up on a reservation in South Dakota and about his role as secretary of tribal relations. The book club selection is "Rez Life" by David Treuer. Everyone is welcome to attend the free meeting. "Rez Life" is available at the Heritage Store at the Cultural Heritage Center. Boob club members receive a 10 percent discount and South Dakota State Historical Society members receive an additional 5 percent discount when they purchase "Rez Life" in the Heritage Store.
