History and Heritage Book Club

Sean Flynn will discuss in person his biography of Ben Reifel, "Without Reservation: Benjamin Reifel and American Indian Acculturation." Reifel was the first Lakota to serve in the U.S. Congress. He believed that American Indians could be productive members of a modern society while remaining authentic to traditional American Indian values. Everyone is welcome to attend the free program. Copies of "Without Reservation" are sold at the Heritage Stores at the Cultural Heritage Center and the Capitol.
