
History and Heritage Book Club
The 100th anniversary of the birth year of author Frederick Manfred will be observed by the History and Heritage Book Club when it meets at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 4, in the Cultural Heritage Center. Freya Manfred of Western, Wis., will lead the discussion of one of her father's best known novels, "Lord Grizzly." She will read from letters her father's wrote during the conception, writing and publication of Lord Grizzly." Everyone is welcome to attend the free program. The program is made possible by the South Dakota Humanities Council, and affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
