History and Heritage Book Club

Author Rod Evans of Aberdeen will be present at the March meeting of the History and Heritage Book Club to lead the discussion of "Palaces on the Prairie." Palaces refers to buildings constructed at the end of the 19th century that were decorated with grains or minerals to best promote the businesses and products of that region. Everyone is welcome to attend the free program. The program is made possible by the South Dakota Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. The book is available at the Heritage Stores at the Cultural Heritage Center and the Capitol.
