
History and Heritage Book Club
The Great Depression and the New Deal will be the focus of a program at the Cultural Heritage Center on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Staff members from the museum, archives and historic preservation will highlight an aspect of the New Deal as it pertains to their program area. Author R. Alton Lee will join by telephone to discuss his book "A New Deal for South Dakota: Drought, Depression, and Relief, 1920-1941," published by the South Dakota Historical Society Press. The book is available at the Heritage Stores at the Cultural Heritage Center and the Capitol. Everyone is welcome to attend the free program.
