Cover Crops & No Till Gardening

The biggest challenges most gardeners face on a yearly basis are dealing with poor soils and unending weeding. Ruth and Dwayne Beck are avid gardeners and practicing agronomists from the Pierre area. They will share how they manage their garden without tillage. The Becks use practices that mimic nature and instead of tillage they use cover crops, compost, crop rotation, earthworms and beneficial microorganisms to build healthy and resilient soils in their garden.
