Celebrate L. Frank Baum's Birthday

"Wizard of Oz" author L. Frank Baum will be remembered on the day of his birth during a program at the Cultural Heritage Center. The documentary film "The Origins of Oz" will be shown at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15. The 45-minute film produced for the Smithsonian features Nancy Tystad Koupal of Pierre, director of Research and Publishing for the South Dakota State Historical Society, and other Baum historians. Koupal will present the film and lead discussion after the film.
