An Evening with Belinda Joe and the Spirit of Dignity
AAUW in conjunction with the SD Humanities Council is hosting its annual membership event with an amazing and inspirational program by Belinda Joe from Crow Creek. Ms. Belinda Joe is a Dakota Hunkpati storyteller. Ms. Belinda played an important role in the recent dedication of the Dignity sculpture at the Lewis and Clark Visitor's Center along 1-90 in Chamberlain. She shares a true story of her family's prophecy of education and weaves her story line around drum teachings, dance and humor and her recent experience with the dedication of the statue "Dignity".
