9th Annual SD Governor's Prayer Breakfast

The 9th Annual SD Governor's Prayer Breakfast will be held on Friday, January 18th beginning at 6:30 a.m. at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel & Conference Center. This year's speaker is David Beasley, who served as the Governor of South Carolina from 1995-1999. David is described as being a compassionate, conservative and courageous leader - qualities that have been cornerstones of his career in serving the people of South Carolina. He has been tested and tempered by a unique set of qualifications and life experiences. Governor, lawmaker, businessman, attorney, teacher, husband and father, David's life has taken him from a family farm in Society Hill, SC to fields filled with refugees of war in Sri Lanka, Kosovo and Darfur; from the Governor's mansion to faraway classrooms where he taught young people to place service above self. All of those experiences shaped his life and molded his character. He is a leader who does the right thing regardless of the political consequences.

This event is open to everyone no matter your faith denomination and the general public is encouraged to attend. Tickets are $12 each and can be purchased at the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 800 W Dakota Ave. Table (8 seats) sponsorships are also available at $100.
