2024 Prarie Winds 4-H Achievement Days
Sunday, August 4 - Pat Duffy Community Center
- 2:30-4 PM - Enter 4-H & Open Class Exhibits
- 4:00 PM - 4H & Open Class Judging begins (Judging closed to Public)
- 9 AM - 12:30 PM - 4H & Open Class Exhibits Open to the Public at Pat Duffy Community Center
- 8-10 AM - Pancake and Sausage Feed sponsored by Farm Credit Services
- 7:30-8 AM - Enter Companion Animals/Rabbits/Poultry
- 8 AM - Poultry show
- 8:30-10 AM - Check in all cattle, goats, sheep, and swine
- 9 AM - rabbit show
- 9:30 AM - Cat showmanship/companion animal show
- 11:30 AM - 1 PM - Sioux Nation Ag Center BBQ Feed (Free will donation)
- Noon - Large Animal Shows
- 4-4:30 PM - Pie contest entry with judging to follow
- 4 PM - small animal round robin contest followed by large animal round robin contest
- 5-6:30 PM - CHS River Plains Complimentary BBQ Bankwest melon feed
- 6 PM - Pie auction
- 6:30 PM - 4-H Livestock Premium Sale
Prairie Winds 4-H Presents Pie Baking Contest
Adult and Youth Divisions. Prize awarded in both categories. (Adult - 14 and older. Youth 13 and under)
1st Place: $50 Gift Certificate
2nd Place: $30 Gift Certificate
3rd Place: $20 Gift Certificate
Gifts Certificates sponsored by Hogens's Hardware Hank and The Kitchen Store.
Monday August 5, 4 Pm entry/4:30 PM Judging! Pie auction to benefit Prairie Winds 4-H at 6 PM
Pie Eating Contest Rule & Registration
- Pie must be homemade! No cream pies or pies that need refrigeration.
- Pie becomes property of Prairie Winds 4-H to be auctioned off.
- Pie must be entered by 4:30 PM Monday, August 5th, in the kitchen area at the Schomer Barn on the Stanley County Fairgrounds.
- Label pie with name, division, phone number, and type of pie.
- Please bring pies in disposable foil pie plate.
