Christmas at the Capitol Nov. 27-Dec. 26, 2024
The dates for 2024 Christmas at the Capitol will be November 27-December 26, 2024. The building will be open 7 days a week from 8 AM - 10 PM, including Thanksgiving day, Christmas eve, and Christmas day. The Grand Lighting Ceremony is open to the public and will be held Tuesday, November 26 at 7 PM Central Time. The Grand Lighting Ceremony and Christmas at the Capitol is free of charge. The building is handicap accessible and there is a limited number of wheelchairs available for public use. The theme this year is ''Through a Child's Eyes.''
christmas Dinner at Pat Duffy Center
The traditional holiday dinner will be served Christmas Day at the Pat Duffy Center in Fort Pierre. Please join us for food and fellowship. Serving will begin at 11 AM and end at 2 PM. There is no set charge for the meal. Free will offering is appreciated to cover the cost of the meal. If you would like to volunteer to help with the meal or donate pie or dessert, please call 605-223-2701.
