2025 - 2026 Leadership Pierre Arts & Culture Session + Graduation
Leadership Pierre Students will be attending the educational portion of the class, this months topic is ''Next Level Leading'' led by Eric Therwanger. They will then attending session trips and/or panels focusing on ''Arts & Culture.'' They will also attend the Graduation Ceremony! Classroom Only Students will be attending the education portion of the class, this months topic is ''Next Level Leading'' led by Eric Therwanger. Vision Statement: Leadership Pierre is a comprehensive program for current and emerging leaders to analyze characteristics associated with leadership, develop individual skills, and gather an awareness of trends, challenges and issues that face Hughes and Stanley County. Leadership Pierre seeks a diverse group of participants of varying interest and styles across a broad spectrum of achievement from the area. Program: Leadership Pierre is an educational program intended for Pierre area citizens who have an interest in their communities, their leaders and institutions, and/or specific leadership opportunities. During the nine-month program, participants will hear from area experts, tour places which make our community unique, participate in thought-provoking discussion and learn how and why decisions are made...all with the goal of shaping tomorrow's leaders. Up to 15 area people who live or work in Hughes or Stanley County will be selected. Individuals not selected will be added to the wait list. To receive a certificate of completion from Leadership Pierre, participants are expected to attend all sessions in their entirety, kick-off, graduation and at least one community involvement opportunity during the program.
2025 Ag Horizons Conference
We are pleased to invite you to the 2025 Ag Horizons Conference, co-hosted by the South Dakota Wheat Growers Association and six partner organizations. This year?s 1-day event promises high-quality, practical education and networking tailored for South Dakota growers. Get ready for a dynamic lineup of speakers, including Nate Franzén, First Dakota Ag Banking President, Julia Debes, U.S. Wheat Associates, and Ed Usset, U of MN Grain Marketing Economist. Breakout sessions will cover a wide range of practical topics including soil health and water management, climate outlooks, crop protection technology, pea and chickpea performance, regulatory and pesticide policy updates, and estate and succession planning for farm families. 2025 Childbirth Class
A 1-session in person class offered by Growing Up Together and Avera OB Staff. Classes will be held on the Avera St. Mary's Hospital Campus. Pre-registration is required. Topics Covered: Pregnancy Stages and Progression of Labor Birth Stories Comfort and Pain Management Medical Procedures Cesareans Newborn and Postpartum Care Practices of Avera St. Mary's Women's Center Questions and Answers with OB Staff Support persons are encouraged to attend!
2025 Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Board Meeting
Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce 2025 Annual Report Board Meeting. During this meeting, Chamber staff will present the Annual Report to our Board of Directors, highlighting the accomplishments, initiatives, and impact of the past year. This meeting is open to 2025 Current Members of the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce who wish to attend and hear the report firsthand. Please note that lunch will not be provided.
