Join SDPB producers for the Dakota Life Community Conversation Open House at the Oahe YMCA. Stop by any time during the afternoon and evening hours to share your interesting story from Pierre and the surrounding area. The stories from past Dakota Life communities are wide-ranging and diverse, covering unique places and landmarks, to present-day successes, interesting historical tales, and local legends. All members of the community are encouraged and welcomed.
Walleye Fish Fry Fundraiser 2026 Izaak Walton League
Walleye Fish Fry Fundraisers Izaak Walton League-Sunshine Chapter Meal includes: fried fish & all the fixings, meal prepared & served by volunteers. Dine In 5 PM - 7 PM. Suggested donation: $15 per dinner ($8 for age 8 and under). Proceeds from this fundraiser will support Sunshine Chapter Projects.
3rd Fridays Stand-Up Shows 2026
The Speakeasy presents: 3rd Fridays 3rd Fridays comedy nights are back for Season 4, and we're bringing in the best and brightest comedians from all over the region to grace our stage. The show is free, the laughs are on us and the rest is on you. Grab some goods at the bar and get ready for a night that'll make your ribs sore. Speakeasy House Rules: Please silence your cell phones. We want everyone to be present and enjoy the show. Be respectful of the comedians and your fellow audience members. This includes keeping chatter to a minimum. If you want to have a conversation, please go downstairs to the Social Club. Do not heckle the comedians. It's distracting and disrespectful. Anyone who heckles will be asked to leave. There is no cover charge for the show! The bar is located downstairs in the Social Club. Feel free to grab a bucket of beers on your way up. Finally, we hope you have a great night and get a good laugh in. Laughter is good for the soul!
