Take-to-Make a Holiday Ornament

The South Dakota State Historical Society Museum will host Take-to-Make a Holiday Ornament Saturday November 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors may pick up bags with the ornament materials and instructions take the ornaments home to complete. Videos on how to make the ornaments are posted on the Museum’s website at https://history.sd.gov/museum/education.aspx. Five different decorations will be available including an eight-pointed folded-paper wreath, a pinecone Christmas tree, a wheat stalk ornament, a beads and bells pipe cleaner ornament, and a beady pheasant. A sixth “bonus” bag holds a blank card and various stickers for creating a unique holiday card. To make sure there are enough ornament bags to meet demand the Museum reserves the right to limit the number any one person or group can take.
