Prairie Winds 4-H Achievement Days
It’s Fair Time....The Hughes/Stanley County Extension Board and the Prairie Winds 4-H Leaders Council would like to invite all to come to the 4-H Achievement Days and Open Class Shows held at the Stanley County Fairgrounds in Fort Pierre, SD.
Thursday Aug. 12
- Fruit pie baking contest at 5:30 pm at the Expo Center
- Quick Draw Shooters at 4:30 pm, Expo Center
- Barbecue Feed from 5-6:30, $5 donation
- Watermelon Feed 5:00 pm, sponsored by BankWest
- Stick Horse Rodeo 5:00 p.m.
- Talent Contest 7:00 pm at the Expo Center
Friday, August 13:
- Pancake and sausage breakfast 8-10 a.m. at Schomer Barn, sponsored by Farm Credit Serives of America
- Outhouse races and more games, 2:00 pm near Expo Building
- Dance 8-11 pm, Expo Center
Saturday, August 14 :
- Round Robin Showmanship Contest 3:00 p.m., Joe Schomer Barn
- Barnyard Olympics 5:00 pm
- Kiss-the-Pig Contest 5:00 pm
- Complimentary 4-H Barbeque for 4-H families and supporters, sponsoredby Midwest Cooperatives/CHS, 5-6:00 pm
- Prairie Winds 4-H Livestock Premium Sale/ Rootbeer float social, 7 pm
