Permaculture
Learn the basics about Permaculture, a design science for ecological and sustainable living. Permaculture integrates landscape and people, providing for their food, energy, shelter, and other material and non-material needs in a sustainable way. A special focus of this talk will be urban and small acreage Permaculture. Permaculture is about more than just sustainable agriculture. The instructor for this seminar, Karl Schmidt, has taught about the history of the global environment at SDSU, and runs Glacial Lakes Permaculture, an educational and consulting non-profit located in Estelline, SD. He has trained in Permaculture in both Australia and Brazil and has done outreach work in southern Poland. Call CUC to register.
