Former Pierre resident Betsey DeLoache, the author of the three volume series "Country Schools: Past and Present," will tell stories of people who taught or attended country schools. Those attending are welcome to share their own country school stories. The program is part of the History and Heritage Book Club sponsored by the South Dakota Historical Society Foundation. It is made possible by a grant from the South Dakota Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. DeLoache will be speaking virtually via Zoom. People may participate via Zoom or at the Cultural Heritage Center. Seating is limited to 25 at the Cultural Heritage Center. Call 605-773-6006 or email email@example.com to make a reservation to attend at the Cultural Heritage Center or to receive the Zoom link.
