Capitol Documentary Discussion

South Dakota Public Broadcasting producer Stephanie Rissler will discuss making the documentary "Our Statehouse: A Capitol Idea" on Tuesday, March 2, at 7:00 p.m. at the Cultural Heritage Center in Pierre.
Rissler will share how the one-hour show on the State Capitol was put together, including choice of the photographs and other resources for the production, and incorporating stories from South Dakotans who worked, and played, in the Capitol. The free program is sponsored by the South Dakota Historical Society.
"Our Statehouse: A Capitol Idea" follows the story of South Dakota's Capitol from territorial days through the fight to be the capital city to the construction and expansion of the Capitol in Pierre. It was put together by SDPB to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Capitol.
