Blunt Fest
The 2nd Annual Blunt Fest will take place August 22 and 23 in Blunt, South Dakota. The celebration of the 2007 community of the year for the State of South Dakota.
Here is a schedule of events for this year celebration:
Night Parade: Registration begins at 7:30pm on the north side of town at the end of Main street. This is where the parade will begin. Parade will begin around 8:00pm
There will be a flea market Friday night and all day Saturday.
Meals:
Friday: Chili Cook-off, pie and ice cream social Saturday morning.
Saturday: Senior Citizen Center will serve breakfast.
A Mexican meal will be served for lunch at the Lutheran Memorial Church.
The Blunt Fire Department will have a BBQ in the Evening.
Events all day Saturday include: Carnival, Turtle Races, Lawn Mower Poker Run, Tug of War competition, and a Motorcycle and Car Show.
Saturday Morning: Steve Russell Memorial Walk and Run. Registration is from 7:00am to 8:00am at City Hall.
Country Western Band performing Friday night in front of the Blunt Bar & Grill. The same band will open for Eclipse Saturday Evening.
