Award Winning Illustrator Susan Turnbull

Award-winning illustrator Susan Turnbull will be in Pierre this week to talk about her new children's book, "The Raccoon and the Bee Tree". The Rapid City artist will sign copies of the book as well.
On Friday, December 11, Turbull will visit Jefferson and Buchanan elementary schools to talk to second and third-grade students about art, illustrations and her work on "The Raccoon and the Bee Tree", which the South Dakota State Historical Society published this year.
On Saturday, December 12, Turnbull will sign copies at two locations in Pierre. From 10:00am to Noon she will be at Prairie Pages Bookstore. From 1:00 to 3:00pm, she will be at the South Dakota Cultural Heritage Center.
"The Raccoon and the Bee Tree" is the fourth book in the Prairie Tales Series from the South Dakota State Historical Society Press. The story is suitable for children from first to fourth grade adn is priced at $14.95.
