8th Annual Holiday Parade of Lights

8^th Annual Holiday Parade of Lights is Friday, November 28^th. Line-up is at 5:30pm and parade starting at 6:30pm. Traditional parade route beginning behind capitol building and progressing west on Capitol down Main street to end at American Legion Cabin.  Santa Visiting and giving out goodies to and with kids before the parade at Walgreens parking lot. National Guard unit serving food and warm drinks there also beginning at 5:30pm and during parade. Santa and elves giving out candy canes along the parade route. Any type of lighted float/entry is welcome in parade – walkers, bikers, vehicles, golf carts, sleighs, trailers, etc! Awards are given to top three entries, along with “Griswold Award” and “Mayors Choice”.  New this year is the "People's Choice Award" - people can pick up entry forms at downtown businesses or at National Guard tent.  The voting box will be at the National Guard tent, with the winner to be announced the next day.
