VISION STATEMENT
Leadership Pierre is a comprehensive program for current and emerging leaders to analyze characteristics associated with leadership, develop individual skills, and gather an awareness of trends, challenges and issues that face our areas. Leadership Pierre seeks a diverse group of participants of varying interest and styles across a broad spectrum of achievement from the area.
PROGRAM
Leadership Pierre is an educational program intended for 20 area citizens who have an interest in their communities, their leaders and institutions, and/or specific leadership opportunities. During the ten-month program, participants will hear from area experts, tour places which make our community unique, participate in thought-provoking discussion and learn how and why decisions are made…all with the goal of shaping tomorrow’s leaders.
PURPOSE:
- Develop Leadership Skills – Lead by professional speaker Erik Therwanger
- Create a Sense of Purpose for Civic Involvement
- Provide networking opportunities
- Increase community awareness
- Make genuine and lasting connections
ERIK THERWANGER – PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP SPEAKER
Erik Therwanger will be leading the 2025-2026 cohort in the educational portion of this program.
Erik is the founder of Think GREAT and the author of The Think GREAT Collection. As the vice president of a media company, Erik developed a team of leaders and designed the systems necessary to achieve over 300% annual sales growth. He now teaches business leaders how to reach new levels of success based on his unique experiences as a United States Marine, executive business leader, sales professional, and entrepreneur. Fees/Admission

A nonrefundable fee of $30 is required with application. If application fee is not received with your application, you will not be considered for the course. Tuition for Chamber members is $650 and tuition for non-members is $800. Tuition will be due August 7, 2025.
