2021 Farmer and Rancher of the Year Award Nominations

The Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce and it's Agri-Interest Committee will be recognizing the contributions made by area ag producers during the month of March. A tradition is to recognize a local farmer/rancher who has made significant contributions to this region, specifically Hughes and Stanley counties.

The award recipients will be chosen by a selection committee. Previous award winners are not eligible. Individuals may nominate themselves for an award.

Please review the awards and the criteria below. An explanation of why the nominee deserves the award is required. Be sure to push submit to complete your nomination. The selection committee will review all nominations and make the final award recipient selection.

Nominations must be submitted by March 9, 2021.
Name of a local farmer/rancher who has made significant contributions to this region, specifically Hughes and Stanley counties.
A description as to WHY the nominee is deserving of the award is REQUIRED. Nomination explanation should include but is not limited to the following: • Description of farm/ranch operation or business • Contribution/Involvement in their community, state, and country • Positions of leadership, awards, honors, recognition • Promotion of agriculture, family and community • Knowledge and use of current technology available today • Policy used to conserve, maintain, and improve natural resources and environment • What improvements or advancements have nominee made to their operations • Previous Winners are NOT Eligible
