The South Dakota Discovery Center will host a 20th birthday party. The celebration will include a stargazing party on the evening of September 24. THe public is invited to participate. The party will be held outside the Pierre Indian Learning Center new gym from 8:30pm to 9:30pm. On Friday, Thomas Durkin of the South Dakota Space Grant Consotium will give a video presentation on the Mars Rover at 11:00am at the South Dakota Discovery Center. On Friday and Saturday, the Center will feature free starlab planentarium shows that will demonstrate how to find constellations in the night sky. Plus guests can make their own start maps. This party is made possible with support from the South Dakota Space Grant Consortium and a Governor's Million Dollar Challenge grant.
