The 2010 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer kickoff will take place from 2pm to 6pm at the Pierre Mall, 1615 N. Harrison. Find out why the Society's "Making Strides" is making such a difference in the fight against breast cancer around the country! Speakers will give an overview of the new 2010 Making Strides event and how you can get involved. A buffett meal follows. The first lap of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk starts at 6:00pm at the State Capitol Building. Walkers can meet at the back door of the State Capitol to sign in, pick up a map and make the fist lap of the 2010 Making Strides walk around Hilger's Gulch. Walkers will return to the front steps of the Capitol Buidling and join in the "Light the Capitol Pink" Rallly. At 7:00pm, as the Capitol turns pink, the American Cancer Society invites the public to the big finish, it's first Light the Capitol Pink Rallly on the Capitol front steps. The public and all persons concerned about cancer are invited to attend. It's an event to celebrate survivors, hear the latest news and advancements in breast cancer, and to help launch the Society's "2010 Making Strides" campaign. For more information on any of these events contact the American Cancer Society at 1-800-214-1966 or 605-224-6772.
