Wayne Fanebust of Sioux Falls will tell about the life of Richard Pettigrew. Pettigrew was a lawyer, surveyor, land developer and politician. He was a founder of Sioux Falls and the first U.S. Senator from South Dakota. Fanebust is the author of "Echoes of November: The Life and Times of Senator R.F. Pettigrew of South Dakota." The book is available at the Heritage Stores at the Cultural Heritage Center and the Capitol. A PowerPoint presentation of the Pettigrew Home & Museum in Sioux Falls will be shown after the author's talk.
