Early Childhood Screening

Screenings are scheduled as a part of Pierre School District/Oahe Child Development Center Child Find Process for resident children who are from Birth to Five (0-5) years of age. 

Early Childhood screening is a preliminary step in the identification of children who may be in need of special education or special education related services. The following areas will be screened: gross motor development, fine motor development, cognitive development, speech and language, hearing, vision and general health.
