Deck the Halls and the Walls

Adorning the walls of the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center are 45 beautifully decorated holiday wreaths. Ranging from whimsical to beautiful, the wreaths reflect the creative talent of many individuals and companies throughout the community. Money, gift cards, and gift certificates are just a few of the items attached to some of the wreaths.

Guests visiting the rodeo center throughout the month of December will have a chance to bid on these wreaths through a silent auction with the final bid made and awarded on Sunday, December 20, during the first rodeo center Christmas Tea, sponsored by the new Dakota Prairie Bank in Fort Pierre.

The tea will be held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm with wagon rides, refreshments and as well as musical entertainment by Capital City Children's Chorus, Keenie Word, South Dakota's own Country and Gospel singer from Hermosa,  and Brian Bergeleen of the Company Cowboys will be the highlight of the afternoon's activities.

In addition, the gift shop offering special discounts, and featuring many new western gifts will be open for those last minute shoppers. Of course Santa Claus will be on hand to hear those last minute requests.
