Visitors of the Oahe Downstream Recreation Area near Fort Pierre will learn all about the park's winter residents and enjoy a snack at the 16th Annual "Eagles and Bagels" Walk in the Park on Saturday, February 3rd at 9:00 a.m.
U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service biologist Charlene "Charlie" Bessken will again conduct this year's eagle presentation. Charlie brings a wealth of knowledge concerning Balk Eagles and Endangered Species. Charlie wrote the Wisconsin Bald Eagle Recovery Plan and coordinated recovery efforts in the state. In 1991 she also wrote a children's book, 'Eagles for Kids'.
