DESCRIPTION:Spring Creek Recreation Area is excited to welcome runners and walkers of all levels to our upcoming 5k on April 18th at 10 AM at the Marina parking lot. \n\n\n\nBring your family\, invite your friends\, and be part of a fun community event that celebrates health\, movement\, and the great outdoors. \n\n \nParticipants are invited to gather at this park to complete their 5K together in a fun\, welcoming atmosphere. Walk\, run\, jog\, stroll\, or roll this event is open to all ages and abilities. The route will follow park trails\, allowing participants to experience and celebrate our outdoor spaces.\n\nImportant registration information:\n\nRegistration for the official Run for the Trees event and to receive the Bob Ross swag packet (T-shirt\, finisher medal\, and race bib) must be completed online by April 1\, 2026\, at: https://runsignup.com/happylittletrees\n\nThis is a virtual 5K\, so participants may also complete their 5K on their own anytime during the event window\, but this meet-up offers a chance to enjoy the experience together in a state park setting.\n\nRace proceeds support tree planting and forest protection in South Dakota state parks.
