DESCRIPTION:On May 2\, 2024\, South Dakota Urban Indian Health is hosting a balloon release to honor and remember our missing and murdered relatives in preparation for National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) on Sunday\, May 5\, 2024.\n\n\n\nPlease plan to gather at the Causeways by the River at 6 PM on Thursday\, May 2. There will be cards available to write the name of loved ones we have lost or are still missing to be released with the balloons. We will release the balloons followed by a prayer and song. Attendees will receive a to-go snack bag with a sandwich\, chips\, and cookie. \n\n\n\nWe look forward to spending this important evening of healing and support with our community members.
