DESCRIPTION:The 1876 raid on the First National Bank of Northfield\, Minn.\, nearly destroyed the James-Younger gang. Of the eight bandits\, only Frank and Jesse James escaped death or capture. Jesse's escape from a posse over Devil's Gulch resulted in one of the greatest legends in South Dakota history. Wayne Fanebust of Sioux Falls\, author of "Chasing Frank and Jesse James: The Bungled Northfield Bank Robber and the Long Manhunt" will tell about these events that made the James brothers legendary figures in American history and folklore.
