Bicentennial Wagon Train
The wagon train will leave the Stanley County Fairgrounds on the morning of June 1st, travel to the CN&W town site of Teton on Bad River Trail (Road) and camp for the night. On June 2nd the wagon train will proceed north on the Old Fort Bennett Trail to the night camp. On June 3rd the wagon train will head into Fort Pierre using the original Fort Pierre Deadwood Trail and at approximately 2 p.m. will participate in an all horse drawn parade. The Bicentennial Wagon Train organizers are seeking at least 2 wagons from every county in South Dakota. Mail completed application forms to: Verendrye Musuem, POB 665, Fort Pierre SD 57532
